I left the Deanery some time ago in 2007, and have just completed my first year of studying A levels at my big school, King Edward VI Aston.
The high number of Deanery alumni receiving awards at my current school's last speech night was, in my eyes, indicative of a superb primary education that laid strong foundations for future progress.
To all parents considering sending their children here, it's been my experience of big school that it's the basics that are important: the Deanery got that right. Miss Morris' grammar lessons stick with me to this day and while some faces have changed, I'm sure the ethos hasn't.
I wish the school all the best, it looks like the very happy place I remember (and now drive past!) and I have every faith that it will continue going strong under Mrs Yates' leadership.
To all the staff that may remember me, I really hope you're all well.
To all current pupils, make the most of your time here. Use these years to question, ask 'why', think and learn.
Jack Drury
My son Jake attended Little Hollies nursery last year (2012-2013) and will be going to The Deanery School next year.
I decided to move Jake from his previous private nursery as I felt his educational demands were simply not being met.
Within a year of being at Little Hollies Jake has developed immensely, he can now read, add and subtract and write his full name, amongst other things.
I am so happy with the progress he has made and would like to thank the entire nursery and extended care staff.
Above all Jake loves going to nursery everyday, he has made several friends and I feel content and confident with the nursery/schools ability to care for him.
I would like to say a very special thank you to Mrs Siggers and Mrs Tapergrey who has helped by son grow in confidence and given so enjoyment in his learning. You are truly decicated and so appreciated for all that you do. Thankyou making this year a positive learning journey for my son.
Many thanks Deanery for your brilliant IEP intervention for my child. The support has been tremendous and has enabled fantastic progress. It is a great school.
My Daughter (Imagen Hewkin) attends Busy Berries, and I wanted to say how fantastic it is, they do more for the children than I initially thought they did. The Key workers are brilliant, very easy to approach and talk to about your child's development, and even though my daughter didn't get into the fox hollies nursery, I will hopefully still be sending my son to Busy Berries when of age. It's a must for all children aged 2-4, when my son fell over outside and hit his head on the metal gate, the lady's were very kind and helped me with my son, I couldn't ask for a better environment for my children. And there is much more positive things I can say about Busy Berries, but I will just mention this, as when my daughter didn't go in for two days at the end of the week due to being to ill to go, they sent my daughter a get well card, coloured in by her friends there. Images words were "arrhhh how lovely, mommy that is really nice" it touched me aswel. So wanted to write a post on how fantastic they are :-) xx
