Safeguarding

Everyone who comes into contact with children and their families and carers has a role to play in safeguarding children.

At our school, keeping children safe is our highest priority. We are committed to creating a secure, caring and inclusive environment where every child can learn, grow and thrive. This page explains how safeguarding works in our school and how you, as parents and carers, can get support or raise concerns.

What Is Safeguarding?

Safeguarding means protecting children from harm, ensuring their safety and wellbeing, and helping them grow up with the best possible life chances. It includes:

  • Keeping children safe from abuse and neglect
  • Ensuring pupils are safe online
  • Supporting children’s mental and emotional wellbeing
  • Promoting safe behaviour in school and in the community

Our Commitment to Safeguarding

We:

  • Follow national and local safeguarding guidance
  • Train all staff regularly on how to keep children safe
  • Work closely with families and partners such as social care and health services
  • Promote a culture where children are heard, valued and respected
