Spirituality Ambassadors

Our spirituality representatives this year are:

We talk to children about the concept of Spirituality and that it can lift our spirits.

As part of our commitment to nurturing spiritual development across the school, our Spiritual Ambassadors meet with our Collective Worship leader regularly. They have introduced candles, which are used during every act of collective worship, whether in the classroom or in the hall. Don't worry, these are battery operated and for adult use only, due to the presence of batteries!

Lighting the candle during class worship signifies that the class is joining in worship with others across the school at the same time, creating a shared sense of reflection and unity.

During hall worship, each class’s Spiritual Ambassador:

  • Brings the candle into the hall already lit.
  • Places it on the table at the front to signal their class’s presence.
  • At the end of worship, they collect the candle and stand at the front as the closing words are spoken.
  • Returns the candle to the classroom, symbolising that the spirit of worship continues beyond the hall and into the learning environment.

This simple but meaningful ritual helps us connect as a community and carry the values of worship into our daily school life.
