Behaviour

At our school, behaviour is built on strong relationships, high expectations and a calm, consistent approach. Our principles are rooted in the work of Paul Dix and reflect our belief that every child deserves to feel safe, respected and valued.

We focus on teaching behaviour rather than punishing mistakes. Adults take responsibility for creating the conditions for success by modelling calmness, fairness and respect at all times. Expectations are clear, consistent and applied with kindness, ensuring that children know how to succeed and are supported when things feel difficult.

We believe in:

• Relentless routines that provide security and predictability

• Visible kindness and unconditional respect for every child

• Adult consistency – it’s not about who you get, it’s about what you get

• Restorative conversations that repair relationships and help children reflect, learn and move forward

• High standards with high support, because every child can meet expectations with the right guidance

We are proud to be a Paul Dix Champion School, committed to putting children first, strengthening relationships and creating a positive, inclusive environment where learning can flourish.
