As artists we engage, inspire and challenge pupils to critique works of art.

We will equip them with the knowledge and skills to experiment, invent and create their own masterpieces. We aim to provide pupils with the confidence to express themselves effectively through art, by allowing them to develop the practical skills they need to bring their ideas to life.

The curriculum overview outlines the learning that will take place in each year group throughout the year along with opportunities to reflect spiritually.

Through the EYFS Framework, our curriculum intent is to provide a practical and playful approach to learning, encouraging pupil’s independence through exploration and challenge in preparation for Key Stage 1. The Characteristics of Effective Learning are at the heart of the EYFS curriculum with the intention of building upon children’s ability to learn and acknowledging that they learn in a variety of ways. All of the learning experiences that are planned allow pupils to develop these skills and to access the curriculum independently.
